Famous People Who Chillingly Predicted Their Death.
1. Mark Twain - American Writer, Entrepreneur, Publisher And Lecturer
Although known as Twain, his real name was Samuel Clemens and the novels he wrote, like ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ and its sequel ‘Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’, have surely left their mark in literary history. However, those aren't the only things he's remembered for.
The writer also accurately predicted his own death. Twain was born in 1835 shortly after the Halley’s Comet was witnessed. In one of his interviews, he joked about going out with the next one that was to occur in 1910.
He expressed that God might think of it as, “Now here are these two unaccountable freaks; they came in together, they must go out together.” Unfortunately, the comet came again and so did Mark’s prediction, and he passed away on April 21, 1910.
2. Abraham de Moivre - French Mathematician
He was wildly famous for the de Moivre’s formula and for his work on normal distribution, trigonometry, complex numbers and probability theory. He spent his whole life studying death through numbers. The theory proposed by him helped him to figure out a person’s life span based on death rates.
His prediction was related to the theory that he was 87 when he started noticing that he was sleeping 15 minutes longer each night. He predicted that when those 15 minutes added up to a complete 24 hours he wouldn’t wake up beyond that. And nobody could prove the mathematician wrong as he died at the exact date and the exact time he predicted he would.
3. Jimi Hendrix - Guitarist, Songwriter And Singer
He was one of the most influential guitarists despite the fact that his mainstream career spanned only for four years. He didn’t actually say it out loud or talked about his death in his interviews like others did.
However, he wrote a song called “The Ballad of Jimi” whose lyrics are as follows: “Many things he would try For he knew soon he’d die. Now Jimi’s gone. He’s not alone His memory still lives on five years, this he said he’s not gone, he’s just dead” Five years later, Hendrix died due to accidental asphyxiation.
4.Jim Morrison - Singer, Songwriter, And Poet
He's best remembered as the lead singer of ‘The Doors’. He was the fourth member of the “27 Club”. The musicians who died at the age of 27 are grouped in this club. The other three members of the club were Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Brian Jones.
After the demise of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix in 1970, Morrison was hanging out with his friends and he made the comment “You’re drinking with number three.” So as it were to happen, he passed away the next year.
5. Bob Marley - Musician, Singer, And Songwriter
If his closest friends are to be believed, he possessed psychic abilities. He used to read palms and would tell the future to friends and locals. His close friends, due to his sixth sense, considered him A prophet.
He very rightly disclosed the details of his death that would take place at the age of 36. When he was asked the reason behind this statement, he replied that Jesus also died the same age.
6. Mikey Welsh - Weezer’s Bass Guitarist
Mikey’s death was literally a dream come true. He tweeted, “dreamt I died in Chicago next weekend (heart attack in my sleep). Need to write my will today.”
