Hello translator! Please introduce yourself to Flitto users. Hello~ I've been working as a Korean/Japanese translator at Flitto since 2018 It is hyeripark00. I first encountered Japanese in middle school, and my interest in Japan grew I went on to a university in Japan. After returning home, before full-scale translation work, He has worked in various fields such as manufacturing/tourism/consulting/interior industry.
What kind of areas are you the most confident in translating? Can you also tell us your reasons for that? I'm able to translate in all areas, but I'm especially confident in translating business documents such as technical writings and manuals! Business document translation is my strength because of my experience in translating work permits, contracts, emails, etc. at a Japanese manufacturing company. Recently YouTube became very popular, so I've been translating subtitles for YouTube as well.
Let us know if you are interested in translating. The localization of languages is of paramount importance. For example, when translating the word socialist economy, it can be translated into kanji as "購読経済", but in fact the word is not used in Japan, so it should be translated to "サブスクリプショΟ, エコノミー". Simply changing Korean to Japanese one-on-one is enough for machine translation, so I'm using my own local experience in Japan to translate it into a natural, accurate expression that's actually used in that country. I think this localization is of paramount importance to translators.
